Dishwasher safe. Dry the silicone seal and the rim fully before refilling, because a damp seal is what lets a canister smell musty. Wash and dry completely between different contents.

Twenty four canisters that turn a pantry into something you can read.

A BPA free set in four sizes, each with a silicone seal and four locking catches, plus labels and pens so everything gets a name.

Twenty four containers arrive nested together, which is why the box looks like one size until you take it apart and find four.

Each lid has a silicone sealing strip and four catches that pull it down evenly, so the seal works on all four sides rather than just the two you pressed.

The bodies are square sided and made to stack, which is what makes a shelf of them hold more than a shelf of bags and boxes.

Forty blackboard labels and white marker pens come in the set, so containers can be named and renamed.

Food Storage Containers

A pantry gets untidy in a particular way. Half-used bags fold over and lean, cereal boxes go soft, and three different pastas end up in one corner because nothing stands up straight. The fix is not more shelf space, it is giving everything the same shape.

Food Storage Containers

That is what a matched set does. Square sided containers stack and line up, so a shelf holds what it can actually hold rather than what the biggest awkward box on it allows.

Food Storage Containers

The seal is the part worth understanding. A silicone strip runs around the lid, and four catches pull it down onto the rim evenly. Pressing a lid on by hand seals the bit under your hands; the catches seal all four sides, which is what keeps flour dry and cereal crisp.

Food Storage Containers

Twenty four is a lot of containers, and they arrive nested inside each other in four sizes. The small ones suit baking odds and ends and sweets, the large ones take a bag of flour or a box of cereal decanted whole.

Food Storage Containers

The labels are more useful than they look. Decanted food loses its packet, and with it the name, the cooking time and the date. Forty blackboard labels and the pens to write on them come in the box, and they wipe clean when the contents change.

Not sure yet? That is fine.

You can change your mind. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you have 14 days from delivery to cancel for any reason, and a further 14 days to send it back in resaleable condition. We refund the price you paid, including standard delivery.

If it turns up faulty, damaged or not as described, that is on us. The Consumer Rights Act 2015 covers you, we pay the return postage, and you can have a repair, a replacement or your money back. Read the full detail on our refunds and returns page, or ask us anything before you order.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many containers are in the set?

Twenty four, in four different sizes. They arrive nested inside each other, which is why the box looks like it holds one size until you unpack it.

What sizes are they?

There are four sizes in the set, from small containers for baking bits and sweets up to large ones that take a decanted bag of flour or a box of cereal.

How does the airtight seal work?

A silicone sealing strip runs around the lid, and four catches clamp it down onto the rim. The catches are what seal all four sides evenly, rather than just where you pressed.

Are they really airtight?

The seal is designed to keep air and moisture out, which is what keeps flour dry and cereal crisp. Make sure the rim and the seal are clean and dry, because a crumb under the gasket is the usual reason a lid does not seal.

Are they leak proof?

They are leak resistant, which is what the specification states. That is not the same as leak proof, so do not lay one full of liquid on its side in a bag.

Are they BPA free?

Yes.

Can they go in the dishwasher?

Yes, they are dishwasher safe.

Can they go in the microwave?

The specification does not cover microwave use, so we do not claim it. Treat them as pantry storage rather than reheating containers.

Can they go in the freezer?

The specification does not cover freezer use, so we do not claim it either. For freezing, use containers sold specifically for it.

What are they best used for?

Dry goods. Cereal, pasta, rice, grains, flour, sugar, nuts, snacks and sweets are what the set is recommended for.

Do they stack?

Yes, they are square sided and made to be superimposed, which is what makes a shelf of them hold more than a shelf of bags and boxes.

Do they come with labels?

Yes, forty blackboard labels and white marker pens are included in the set.

Can I reuse the labels?

That is what the blackboard style is for. The white pen wipes off so a container can be renamed when the contents change.

Will a whole bag of flour fit in one?

The largest size in the set is intended for exactly that kind of decanting. Standard bags of flour, rice and cereal are what people usually put in them.

Do they keep pantry moths out?

A properly closed airtight container is the standard advice for protecting dry goods, because it stops anything getting in or out. Check the seal is clean and all four catches are closed.

How do I clean them?

They are dishwasher safe. The one thing to do by hand is dry the silicone seal and the rim fully before refilling.

Can I wash the lids in the dishwasher too?

Yes. Let the seal dry completely afterwards, since trapped water is what makes a container smell musty.

Will they take strong smells from spices?

Plastic can hold the smell of strongly aromatic contents. Washing and drying thoroughly between different contents is the way to avoid it.

Are the containers clear?

The bodies let you see the contents, with black lids. That is why the labels are for naming and dating rather than for identifying.

Are they suitable as a gift?

They are commonly bought as one. The set arrives nested and boxed, with the labels and pens included.

Can I use them for pet food?

Yes, dry pet food is a good fit for an airtight container. Wash and dry it thoroughly if you later use it for human food.

Do the catches break easily?

They are designed for repeated use. Closing all four squarely rather than forcing one corner is what keeps them working.

Will they fit in a standard kitchen cupboard?

The set is designed to stack in cabinets and pantries. Because there are four sizes, most people put the tall ones on a deep shelf and the small ones where the shelf spacing is tight.

How many can I stack on top of each other?

Enough that the top one is still easy to lift down. Stacking within a shelf rather than into a tall tower is easier to live with.

Do I need all twenty four?

Most people use the large sizes straight away and grow into the small ones. The spare ones nest, so they do not take a shelf while they wait.

Can I put hot food in them?

They are intended for dry pantry storage. Let anything warm cool to room temperature first.

Is the seal replaceable?

The silicone strip is part of the lid. Looking after it, by keeping it clean and dry, is what makes it last.

What if a lid arrives cracked?

Contact us with your order number and a photograph. Damage on arrival is a fault, and those rights sit alongside the 14 day change of mind period.

How long does delivery take?

Five to seven days across the UK. Delivery is free on orders over £75 and £25 otherwise, so this set qualifies for free delivery on its own.

Can I return the set if it is not what I wanted?

Yes. It is a stock item, not made to order, so you have the full 14 day right to change your mind alongside your faulty goods rights.

Decanting a pantry without regretting it

4 min read SpaceSaver

Why matching containers hold more

A pantry shelf is limited by its most awkward object. One tall cereal box, one leaning bag of rice, and the whole shelf gets spaced around them.

Square containers of matched sizes remove that. They sit against each other with no wasted gap, they stack instead of leaning, and the shelf holds close to what its dimensions say it should.

That is the real gain from decanting, more than the tidy look. You are not buying storage space, you are recovering the space you already had.

What the four catches are actually for

Most containers with a silicone seal will seal if you press hard enough in the right places. The problem is that hands press in two places and a lid has four sides.

The catches clamp the lid down evenly all the way round. That is what makes the seal consistent, and consistency is the whole point: flour that stays dry, cereal that stays crisp, and nothing getting in.

Two habits keep it working. Wipe the rim before you close it, because a single crumb under the gasket breaks the seal on that side. And close all four catches, not the two nearest you.

What to put in them, and what not to

The specification is clear about what these are for: dry goods. Flour, sugar, pasta, rice, grains, cereal, nuts, snacks.

It is equally clear about what it does not say. There is no microwave rating and no freezer rating in the specification, so we do not claim either, and neither should you assume it. If you want to reheat or freeze, use containers sold for that job.

Leak resistant is also a precise term. It means a closed container will not weep on the shelf. It does not mean you can lay one on its side full of soup in a rucksack.

Labels earn their place

The hidden cost of decanting is losing the packet, and with it three things: what it is, how long it cooks, and how old it is.

Two of those matter in practice. Write the name and the date. Cooking times you can look up; a container of unidentified white powder in six months is genuinely annoying, and so is wondering whether the nuts are from last year.

Forty labels and the pens come in the box, and they wipe clean, so a container that held quinoa in March can hold porridge oats by June without a residue of old handwriting.

Cleaning between contents

Plastic takes on the smell of anything strongly aromatic: chilli flakes, coffee, curry powder.

Washing is usually enough, but the part people miss is drying the silicone seal. Water sits in the channel behind the gasket, and if you refill and clamp the lid on a wet seal, the container smells musty within a week.

Dishwasher, then leave the lids upside down for an hour. That is the whole routine.
